Maribel Ramos was born in Barcelona in 1977. At the age of 5 she moved to Almeria, where she began her dance studies at the age of 8. She first studied in regional folklore dance schools in order to enter the Professional Conservatory of Almeria, from which she obtained her degree as a Spanish Dance Teacher. .

        Aged 19 she leaves for Madrid to perfect her flamenco dance by studying in different dance schools such as “Amor de Dios”, « Estudios Madrid » and « El Camborio ». She then leaves for Sevilla to continue her professional career.

       Since her debut, she has studied with the best professionals in the flamenco world, such as Maria Magdalena, Manolo Marin, La China, Cristobal Reyes, Javier Latorre, Antonio « El Pipa », Israel Galvan, Isabel Bayon, Carmen Ledesma, Javier Baron, Hiniesta Cortes, Rafael Campallo, Alejandro Granados and Eva la Yerbabuena. Moreover, she has taken master classes with Antonio Canales and classes of Bata de Cola with Milagros Mengibar and studied Spanish Classical Dance with Eloy Pericet

        She was granted a scholarship from the “Cristina Heeren Foundation for Flamenco Art” three years in a row : 2001, 2002 and 2003
